Elmer the Elephant


Workshop Description: Inspired by David McKee’s colourful creation, Elmer, Kids Get Crafty brings a workshop based on the original storybook and illustrations.

Join your child as they create a herd of patterned elephants, a moving parts picture and a gorgeous tote bag.

Participants can expect to learn skills in art + crafts, including:


 - Fine motor control and scissor skills

 - Basic colour theory

 - Sponge painting

 - Stencilling

 - Fabric panting

 - Basic design process


No prior experience necessary. 


As this is an extended class, we will break midway for some games and refreshment to allow for little attention spans.


Parent Participation: Required

Participants Take Home: An individually designed and painted fabric tote bag, sponge painted Elmer the Elephant and friends, a moving parts picture.
